**Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist**
**Shift:** 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (4x10's) - Variable Shift Hours
**Schedule:** 13-Week Assignment
**On-Call Requirement:** 1 Shift Per Week & 1 Weekend Every 8 Weeks
**No Weekends or Holidays**
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to deliver exceptional care in our Interventional Radiology Unit. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and effective cardiac services to our patients while adhering to the highest standards of clinical excellence.
**Responsibilities:**
- Ensure the safety and efficiency of cardiac procedures while maintaining universal precautions.
- Accurately check and manage supplies; ensure that all expired equipment is identified and addressed promptly.
- Prepare the procedure room by laying out necessary supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
- Assist cardiologists during procedures, demonstrating knowledge of their individual preferences and maintaining aseptic techniques.
- Verify patient identification and ensure proper documentation, including consent forms and medical records.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all technical equipment, ensuring quality control and safety protocols are followed.
- Log and analyze hemodynamic data accurately and assist in patient comfort throughout the procedure.
- Educate patients pre and post-procedure while documenting all relevant information accurately.
- Maintain operational readiness through proper handling of equipment and adherence to policies.
**Qualifications:**
- 1-2 Years of Cath Lab Tech Experience Required
- IR Experience Highly Preferred
- PCI Experience Required
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) Certification Required
- Telemetry Certification Highly Preferred
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
**Skills:**
- Attention to detail in monitoring supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
- Strong familiarity with equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Capability to perform various Cath Lab procedures (e.g., LHC, RHC, PTCA, STENT).
- Commitment to adhering to clinical protocols and policies.
**Education:**
- Minimum education and certification as required for Cath Lab Technologist.
