We are searching for an auto/diesel mechanic to help our clients resolve issues with vehicle performance. You will inspect mechanical and electronic components, and diagnose issues with diagnostic software.

We primarily work on cars, light duty diesels, medium diesels and heavy duty diesels and trailers. We also work on classic vehicles and swap modern drive trains.

We do provide an Astia Employee Health Care Clinic package.

Auto Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Listening to clients to learn more about vehicle history, potential problems, and the services they would like to receive.
• Performing test drives, inspections, and other diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify where problems exists and determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced.
• Completing preventative maintenance on vehicles, such as performing oil changes, flushing and replacing fluids, and replacing brakes.
• Inspecting internal systems and controls to ensure the vehicle is operating properly and in compliance with state regulations.
• Using shop equipment as instructed, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Maintain shop equipment and cleaning your areas.

Auto Mechanic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid drivers license.
• 4 Years prior experience as an Auto/Diesel Mechanic
• Proficiency with hand tools and other equipment.
• Knowledgeable in electrical and wiring.
• Excellent active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must have your own tools.
• Seasoned and self-efficient worker
